Why people choose Activfirst

Megan Almond – Completed a L2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship and then progressed on to a L3 Team Leader apprenticeship at British Garden Centres, Brigg.
“I would recommend looking into completing apprenticeships to other people in my workplace because you can learn so much from it while earning money at the same time, and it’s so rewarding for yourself, and it brings out talents in yourself that you might not know you had. I have become much more confident in dealing with customer needs, much better than I was before my apprenticeships.”

“For over ten years, Activfirst has worked in partnership with Tigers Trust to deliver high quality apprenticeships that develop skills, confidence, and lasting careers. Together, we’ve supported almost one hundred apprentices, many of whom have progressed into full time and management roles within the Trust and across the wider sport and leisure sector.
Our partnership is built on shared values of community, opportunity and growth. Activfirst understand the day to day demands of a busy organisation and tailor learning to fit seamlessly within it, ensuring every apprentice gains hands on experience that drives both personal and professional development.
It’s a collaboration that continues to make a real difference, helping Tigers Trust nurture the next generation of leaders who are passionate about changing lives through sport.”

“We’ve worked with several apprenticeship providers, and ActivFirst has been the best by far.”
“Russ is a fantastic tutor…he’s shown great flexibility in adapting to the needs of our learners and is particularly skilled at tailoring the learning to our environment as a leisure provider.”

“Activfirst has been instrumental in supporting Harrison throughout his apprenticeship, leading to significant progress in his job role. The apprenticeship has allowed him to work on projects that typically fall outside the scope of his role, such as funding bids, which has broadened his experience and responsibility. This hands-on learning has not only increased his confidence but also expanded his skill set. Rather than just focusing on theoretical knowledge, Harrison has been able to directly apply what he’s learned to his day-to-day tasks, making the learning process more relevant and impactful. Russ, his tutor, has been incredibly supportive, providing valuable guidance and helping Harrison understand best practices, as well as the reasoning behind the team’s methods and processes. Overall, Activfirst’s support has helped Harrison grow both professionally and personally, positioning him for continued success in his role.”

“Russ has been fantastic in supporting and guiding me throughout my apprenticeship journey. Completing my Level 2 in English is something I have always wanted to achieve, and although it has been challenging, I am now on the verge of completing it with growing confidence thanks to Russ and his continuous guidance. He is a fantastic tutor who is always there to support me whenever I need it.
I still have a journey ahead to fully complete my apprenticeship, but I believe I will achieve it very soon. I am truly thankful to Activfirst and to everyone who has been part of my journey and given me this incredible opportunity”.
